I used Humbrol 83 Matt Ochre plus a bit of White as base colour but instead of usual Raw Umber and Burnt Sienna oils, I used only acrylics for lights and shadows.
Oils are so easy to fade, with acrylics you can work for half an hour without evident colour variation then.. BAM! you end with an harsh shadow.
I was so lucky to start from a quite light colour so I had to add shadows only.
It's quite difficult to obtain a soft drybrush effect with light acrylics, too: immediately your model turns like a rock. This was quite useful painting the AFS wreck.
Decals are hand re-painted as usual.

It is an Hybrid Hull with MKIII and A8-R8 design elements plus a Reynard-Racoon type top and frontal recon sensor and a modified back.
I Choose a round base to avoid a defined direction of view and keep the interest focused on the action.
Those un-head, inhuman proportions suits are quite difficult to pose: the visual appearance change with the point of viewing.
