This is the Hasegawa Falke in 1/20 scale. It is quite a big model, comparable with a 1/32 scale airplane. Shapes are complex but Hasegawa did a wonderful work: not so many pieces and a normal amount of putty.. for an airplane model.
I love this subject, I even own the resin Futch's Falke but I fear not doing a nice paint work: Ma.K. "things" have to be "understood" if you usually build 1/35 scale models like I did.
Thanks Hasegawa, now I can easily find my Falke even in my local hobby shop here in Modena, Italy so.. no more excuses!
The whole build took about a week. I choose to close my cockpit because I'd like a flying display.
The putty&sanding session is so boring in my opinion, so to speed up the things, I simply rebuild the side details instead of sanding all around.
Engine panels require some care to obtain a perfect fit; while working on this area, I opened some air scoops, too and modified a bit the P-38 propeller nose cones.
Some rivets and panel lines were so lightly marked that I had to rescribe them. The back of an X-Acto blade works well for scribing, while for trace new rivets you need "The Rivet Tool" a.k.a. swiss beading tool ---->
Ma.K. Profile Book #01 Falke
A4 soft cover, All Color 64 pages, Japanese language.
It introduces not only the birth of design of antigravity armor fighter Falke but also the making of the original model in detail. Included are the "SF3D original articles" from Hobby Japan written 25 years ago, a new BD story, camo pages and decals, tips about building the Hasegawa Falke, some cool oddities about Sensei Yokoyama's models world and Takako Ropez idol in Falke pilot outfit.
Japanese language could be a barrier and some images are too little but it is cheap and could open your eyes about a whole different way of modelling and living the making of a model.

Ma.k Story 2882-2885
It took only three months of design and trial for Pkf. 85 Falke to emerge from the antigravity engine onboard the experimental aircraft XK-427 Firefly captured by mercenary forces.
The Mk.54 2,3 cm Vulcan gun has an excellent ballistic property but insufficient striking power, and this to be replaced with 3,5cm machine cannon in Block 2 production Falke.
In addition, the Excimer high-energy laser gun is to be equipped in and detachable gun pod as optional armament against ground targets.
