A quick kitbash using:

  • Various AFS-SAFS-PKA parts
  • 1/9 BMW motorcycle (laser arm tip and "head") from Esci-Italeri-Dragon.
I used the 1801 - BMW R75 MOTORCYCLE w/FELDGENDARME from Dragon: mine AFS helmet was one of the two helmets included in this box reduced in width
  • a face from Yoshi
  • B-Club Zaku hand
  • Option parts are:
    • Wave Z-Vernier 4, R-Rivets (Round)
    • Kotobukiya Mobile Pipe, Round Mold 3, Duct Nozzle II, Round Mold II, Round Nozzle Large

... and some putty plus Aves Apoxie sculpted joints and Gunze Mr.Surfacer 500 for casting texture.

Actually, you can use any Sherman wheel and Hy-Gogg parts are so modified that you can simply use a sphere and some plastic tube.
You need coils for power pipes, too and remember to widen legs inserting 1mm plasticard between pieces.

Considering the Dragon-Italeri (Ex Esci/ERTL) 1/9 BMW R75 Motorcycle costs 50 euro alone.. it isn't a cheap kitbashing project!

This is what I usually do with all my AFS models:

  • Resculpting joints with Aves Apoxie Sculpt over a 4mm aluminium wire.

If you want to use the stock rubber joints, check this helpful step by step: <page1> <page2> in compressing Wave Luna Pawn joints from Crasher Eddy's blog.

"Compressed" joints help with the menacing look.

  • Insert 1mm plasticard plate between Wave pieces to have bulky legs
